| Tom Brockley Named President of Waukesha Electric Systems, Inc.
Major U.S. transformer manufacturer and transformer services, components and engineered systems provider focuses on strategic customer alliances and continued business improvements
Waukesha, WI (August 28, 2006) – Waukesha Electric Systems has named Tom Brockley as president following Myron Bechtel’s retirement announcement earlier this year.
Tom joins Waukesha after serving as Vice President of North America Manufacturing at a leading manufacturer of indoor and outdoor cleaning solutions and specialty coatings. Prior to this position, Tom provided leadership for a manufacturer of agricultural tractors, combines and construction equipment where he held increasingly responsible positions including two Vice President positions. “Tom’s manufacturing management experience will be an ideal fit for our company in this time of increasing demand and business growth,” says Laurie Smaglick Johnson, Waukesha’s Vice President of Sales & Marketing. “We all look forward to continuing our tradition of building strong customer alliances and providing superior quality products and services with Tom at the helm.” |

Lee Powell, President of SPX Corporation’s Industrial Products and Services segment, commented on Myron’s decision to retire. “We are saddened to lose Myron and his extensive industry experience but wish him all the best in this new chapter of his life.” Myron Bechtel joined Waukesha in January 1980 and held positions of increasing responsibility, being named President in August 2004. He made a personal decision to retire and leaves the company, officially, in early September although Brockley has already taken over daily responsibilities.
